So tonight, me and the pooch went out on a little night hike and it was pretty cold and there was a bit of snow on the ground about 30 minutes into the hike he had some big snowballs on his feet. the snowballs then had us turn around because they were making him act weird and i figured he couldn't be comfortable. so my question is what is the best brand of pooch bootie for my boy to avoid said problem he is a full size collie.

For the most part, the dog booties sold in the outdoor industry are boutique booties. In trying lots of them, I have found they don't fit well, they don't flex with the dog's foot and they don't stay on. The ones from Granite Gear are better, but I'd choose booties made by sled dog racers.

We have used booties made by Jack Beckstrom of Adnac Sleds for years. They are inexpensive, stay on well and the dogs don't mind them.

For three winters we had a daily trhee mile snowshoe to get to the truck and our Border Collie need booties much of this time.
