Are there articles that compare Polartec's, Schoeller's and Windstopper offerings in terms of breathability and wind resistance? I am replacing my headwear and handwear and am looking at Wind Pro and it would be nice to compare the different fabrics both for this and my own geeky nature. Thanks.

I have not seen any direct comparisons, though I'd imagine someone on this site has the information.
Here is what I have:

You might also want to scan this:

The chart on page 8 is not truly quantative, but it does give a rough comparison similar what Beyond Clothing does with its own rating system.
Subjectively, I have found Schoeller Dryskin to be about 70% windproof, highly breathable, a faster drying than Powershield or any of the Windstoppers I have used. Powershield is very slightly less windproof than Windstopper, has fantastic stretch, and can take a long time to dry. Breathability is poor compared to Dryskin. Windstopper is windproof, but breathes worse than Powershield.
Edit: I was trying to find Patagonia's "What Percent of Naked" article.
http://www.verber.com/mark/outdoors/stash/patagonia-testing.html
It discusses Windstopper, etc.
