I’ve decided to make my own bivy instead of paying the unreasonable amount of money required to buy one. It took me a while to choose a top fabric, but I finally decided on EPIC because of it’s long lasting weather resistance. The only problem is that I can’t find anywhere that still sells EPIC (other than Feathered Friends, who only have the most hideous color imaginable).

So my question is: does anybody know where I can get some 1.8oz EPIC in a color that doesn’t make you want to claw your own eyes out?

Why don’t you ask Ron Bell of Mountain Laurel Designs. He uses lots of the stuff ( and makes wonderful things w/ it).

Thanks Kevin, I’ll email Ron at MLD about it. If I can’t find any EPIC, I’ll probably end up buying one of his bivys. The superlight model is pretty much what I’m looking for anyway.
