I'm always asking people to tell me what I don't know know about gear, so I thought I'd share a gear tip:
I'm a tall guy and can easily palm a basketball. As such, I have an awful time finding gloves that fit. A couple days ago though, I tried on some Spyder Facer Windstop Glove and it was love at first sight. The XLs actually fit me properly (unlike all the leather palmed Mazella's I'd been after originally).
I was looking for something heavier than my power stretch liners for above the tree line use or just plain colder conditions and these are it. They're supposed to be insulated, breathable, and waterproof. I'll keep you posted as to how they perform as I use them, but thought I'd post this as a heads up for those of you who have the same problem finding gloves that fit.
