This insulated jacket isn’t really that ultralight at about 14-15 ounces, but if you saw it cheap on the internet like me and are thinking about getting it then think twice! The proprietary insulation is minimal for the weight making the weight to warmth ratio low. The outer nylon fabric is heavyweight with NO DWR. You could sneeze and wet this thing out! The thick waistline drawcord is oddly attached making a huge gap at the hem as you tighten it (hard to explain.) Also, all of the zippers have a tendency to snag on the fabric. OK, enough bashing. The jacket does have one innovative feature: mesh vented armpits! There is no insulation at the pits just stretch noseeum type mesh. This is great if you happen to be jogging in it for some reason, but chilly at any other times. It also has a BIG embroidered mammoth logo on the arm making one feel ‘cool & sporty.’ HAHA
