I'll be heading to Death Valley in a few weeks (actually Vegas for work) but plan on peeling off for a long day trip. Any of you pros been to DV or can recommend a great day trip? Thanks so much!

Actually, if you want to see the most of the park, I'd recommend driving around it to different points of interest and doing short hikes. There's a lot of variety there and you won't get to see it all if you just do one, longer hike. You will be able to see the salt flats, the dunes, the Devil's golf course, etc. that way.
