Awhile back I saw a lip guard to fit over the brim of a metal drinking cup. This was NOT the PLASTIC RING that many folks use for the Fosters and Heinie pots but a plastic device approximately an inch a ½ to two inches long. It was just wide enough to protect lips when drinking a hot beverage from a metal cup. A search in Google and here at BPL has not turned up the little device.

Does anyone know from this description what I am looking for and where to find it? Thanks for your help,

John

You’re probably thinking of the silicone egg rings that were being discussed on here awhile back. I was never able to find any here in the states to try but it looked like a nice solution.

No, Don, that isn't it. But thanks for trying. I appreciate it. I will try to draw one to add to the above original post. Thanks, john

Thinking about how to draw so this to illustrate what I was thinking about a possible diy device flashed. A piece of plastic tubing as in the type that is commonly used with water bladders might work. I will give it a try in the morning by taking a two inch section and splitting it along the the length to pop it on the rip of the mug.
