I have a pair of columbia silver ridge convertible pants (13.25 oz) that I like a lot but are starting to show some wear. I'd like to get another pair of pants but before buying the same ones I was wondering if anyone had other recommendations. Lighter the weight the better. Also does anyone know what the lightweight convertible Northface pants are called (paramount, horizon, or trekker)?

Thanks, Jamie

I've had good luck with REI Sahara convertibles. They have one feature I consider essential for zip-offs: calf zippers, so I can get the legs over my size 12.5's after zipping them off. Good chance they'll be on sale Friday!

I have LaSportif and Mountian Hardwear convetibles which are both heavier than the Silver Ridge and, to me, the Silver Ridge are more confortable than either of the other two. I haven't tried the Saharas mentioned above but they are quite popular.
