I've been looking for an Old thread on failure modes of tarp seams and tie-outs in Spin and/or perhaps Cuben.
It included images of problems and examples of good practices.
If anyone has this bookmarked I'd appreciate that link. I've paged through hundreds of "Results" and have yet to stumble upon it.

Cuben Fiber Fragile- Huh?
Cuben Fiber Q&ADec 15, 2008 at 8:34 am #1464419Dana,
The first one recent and I'd found the 2nd one as well. The piece I'm looking for has comments regarding the sewing and pitching of tarps and their failure modes from folks here at BPL as well as perhaps Mountain Laurel Designs and/or Six Moon Designs. It was discussing the trade-offs and care required when using UL materials in challenging environments.
As I think more on it, I believe it was addressing spinnaker rather than Cuben. But the applications should be similar.
Thanks though for the effort.
