– Finish the PCT (did half last year, hope to finish this year)
– Hike the PCT again
– A two or more week hike in the San Rafael, Dick Smith, Matillija, Sespe Wilderness areas.
– Get out more often anywhere near my home.

I've done the Everst trek. My suggestion to those who want to do it is to hike to Kala Patar peak. It's 18,200 ft. with great views. You can't see the mountain from base camp.

43 years old with young kids (girl 8, boy 6) and a job. I sort of have the "before retirement" and "after retirement" lists. Of course I want to hike every trail I hear of, but these are some that I think are reasonable goals.

Before Retirement:

JMT- Did it solo last year but want to do it again- both faster/lighter solo and with the whole family in a couple years.

L2H- Death Valley to Mt. Whitney. Maybe this fall.

TGO Challenge- Two week walk across Scotland along with a thousand other "hill walkers". Hopefully one/both my kids will want to come when they're a few years older.

Tahoe Yosemite Trail.

Lost Coast Trail. Wife and I did the West Coast Trail and want to try California's version.

Colorado Trail- Hopefully one/both my kids will want to come when they're a few years older.

After Retirement:

AT. Probably others but I'll start with the original long trail.

Not so much a bucket list since I still have my life ahead of me (only 13), but these are my career dreams:

1.attend a wilderness leadership school and become a backpacking instructor

2.be able to spend at least 100 nights a year in the outdoors as the main part of my job.

3.Hike at least part of both the AT and PCT.

4.take up mountaneering.

Google "hike across England" or "Hut hopping in the Swiss Alps" or "John Muir Trail" (south of Yosemite on the PCT)

Age: 24
Washington

the whole wonderland trail
the PCT, or at least the Washington section
a good portion of the JMT
Northern half of the CDT
and the list goes on, I'd love to do a through hike, but reality is it doesn't look like it anytime soon.
