It looks a little like a winter tent I was working on a year or so ago. Mine was going to use two poles that crossed over the top for more strength in the snow. I got sick and the material for the first draft of the tent ended up being recycled to my DAM/Sleep System setup.
It might be a good project to revive and use some of the Cuben material for it.
