I tarp. The dog sleeps in the tarp with me, or against me. He is not always dry. I use a bivy to keep him off my bag. I have been using a myog dwr top tyvek bottom with no problems except foot condensation. I just reqorked my other myog that is dwr top pu coated bottom with a foot vent and a side zip – but I used it last weekend and had to get out of it because of condensation. Especially along the sides where the pu forms a bathtub style side about 2'' high. Temps were at freezing or just below. There was no rain, but the ground was soaked from previous rain. So my bag got damp the first night and then I had the dog laying on it the second night. I want to make a vbl liner – but have no experience with their use. Will I be wet inside the vbl? Can someone explain what I should expect please. Thanks
