Several months ago I found plans to make an alchy stove stand- it involved 1/4" aluminum tubing for the legs and wire that fit into the tops of the tubes as the pot support and it folds flat;anyways, I can't for the life of me figure out where I found those plans. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, that would be sweet, or other ideas for a pot stand. I have seen the z support, but was looking for other ideas.

Couldn't find the picture, but here is a drawing.

On the orig, the ti rods were pointed to save weight, but you could potentially dual-use some thick ti tentstakes, safer.

Not sure what the joining piece was, possibly an al swage or some ti sheet.

When bending the tube, try sand or frozen sand inside to avoid crimpage, then later cut the short leg, after bending.

Suggest trying arched bottom tubes for tripod effect. If you find it, post back.

Thanks Paul for the reply
Your photo isn't the exact plan I had in mind, but I bet there are 100 different ways to do it, so I will dream it up from memory and see how it works. I may take some ideas from what you posted-I like the frozen sand idea to prevent crimping.
