Just saw this on /. Wonder how breathable the coating is if a all
Not very durable right now – can't survive a laundry wash cycle. An impressive step though, 100% waterproofing with essentially no weight penalty.
And might very well be breathable.
Its the stuff that company pl2 is using I think. Here's an article on the concept and execution.
I dont know how to make the link nice and neat. Newho things that are too good to be true: are. I think of the health concerns with having microscopic silicone slivers/fluorocarbon plasmas work their way into your skin. Otherwise its amazing. Imagine bathingsuits that dont get wet.
Next they'll do it to tee shirts…
