Has anybody used these/owned these/found good information?

I've been researching them off and on for a couple weeks now, found some information here and there, some reviews, but there's not too much out there about them.

All the BPGT reviews make them out to be pretty good, but i'm looking specifically at the Snugpak Travelpak Lite sleeping bag (according to this catalog: http://www.proforceequipment.com/2008_Outdoor_Snugpak_USA_Catalog.pdf , it includes a mosquito net [light weight summer bivy anybody?] ) … However, I can't find out anywhere if the 2008 model has the mosquito net, or the 2007, and I can't find any vendors with definitive information. Puzzling.

Anybody have any thoughts?

TW:
Can't say I know much about the the Snugpak sleeping bag line; I've seen them, but since I prefer sleeping quilts I've never considered owning one. Still, I do know that Brigade Quartermasters (www.brigadeqm.com) carries over twenty models. The only model that I know of that comes with mosquito net, though, is the "Snugpak Jungle." Brigade Quartermasters does list some of the specs for the different models that may help you make a decision. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. I've considered quilt sleeping, not sure I'd ever feel "secure" in it though..

In any case, according to the Catalog, all of their Travelpak lines (including the Jungle bags) have the Mosquito net, but i can't find any trace of it from the vendors…

I owned a snugpak jungle bag for a couple years until I destroyed it. Picked it up for my 2nd deployment to Iraq and used it to sleep out on OPs on cooler nights. It is a great desert bag since it packs small and has the built in net to keep out sand fleas, flies, mosquitos, and scorpions when sleeping on the ground. Once it got to ~40F I found it to be a little cold unless I wore extra clothing under it. The construction was high quality and it stood up to quite a bit of ridiculous abuse. My only complaint was the net is annoying sitting on your face if you sleep on your back.

Yeah, that's good to hear at least that they stand up well. I know Snugpak mostly contracts to the military, and they seem noticeably unconcerned with their consumer line as a result.

I'm looking at getting the mummy shape version of that bag, and according to the catalog it too contains that mosquito net but I can't find any confirmation….
