Now many people say to wear a midweight baselayer with an insulative and shell layer for camping in the cold. I recently had to turn mine in to Patagonia for a zipper fix and instead of trading me out a new one, they gave me credit for the old one which is $12 less than getting a new one. Would it be better of me just to chuck it and use a Cap 2 along with a sun shirt as I already have both and it should be more versatile and probably provide the same warmth or more for an extra 5-6 ounces? That and the temps around here can drop or increase 25F+ in a day. Thanks.
