Hi David,
I have the 180 and 60 quilts and the 60 fits nicely over the 180. I hadn't tried it with other bags, but just tried putting it over a Marmot down bag (I can't remember the model but it's from many years ago and was originally rated to about 20 degrees) It appeared that the down in the footbox of the Marmot bag was significantly compressed by the narrow cut of the footbox on the 60. (I believe that there's a review of the 90 quilt under Reader Reviews that explains a similar experience when using the 90 as an overquilt.) FWIW, I've been very happy with both quilts.
