Montbell Alpine Light Jacket?

That is quite a range. For me, I can hang around at camp in a baselayer under it to about 35*. If I was going to do some serious camp lounging, I would want the baffled Alpine or something from FF or WM.
I love my Alpine Light, but it's really no match from something similar from FF or WM….unless you consider price.

So the Alpine light is equivalent to a 300 wt fleece… I wonder what the WM Flight jacket is equal to?

Does anyone else have an opinion on the Montbell jacket??

I have the alpine down jacket and love it. I've used it down to around 20 degrees with other clothing. As a stand alone jacket with just a baselayer, I wouldn't trust it to keep me warm at that temp but bringing more clothing to supplement is a good idea. With my R1 hoody under it and shell over it, it is pretty warm. The flight it much loftier, but also more expensive. I think montbell is a steal at their price. I've considered selling my jacket to get the alpine light parka with the hood.

Love my jacket!! Would not use it as a stand alone layer for temps down around 20 degrees. Would beef it up with some layers. As a shoulder season and summer jacket it is awesome!!

After struggling about this decision for many weeks, I found the WM Flight Jacket on sale for $200 at Mammoth Gear.

Just couldn't pass up getting my dream piece… I get cold quite easily so the extra bit of warmth will be much appreciated.
