Looks great – it looks like it would be great in winter if it can stay upright. 15 oz would be spectacular for a two-person winter shelter.
Also, what is the usable ground area? How far from the edges of the sil-nylon with a tight pitch is the sidewall 12 inches off the ground?

As far as cost and weight/person, the MLD looks great.
Ha! I wondered the same…maybe a bit less if you take into consideration the sag of the walls and whatnot…I took the dimensions from the website.
My calculations show that the long sides reach an interior height of 12 inches ~6.7 inches from the edge. That would create a usable floor space of at least 84 x 47.8 inches, a total usable area of 4015.2 in^2, or 27.88 ft.
Btw – I chose 12 inches to allow for high-lofted winter bags. and rolling around in them. Of course, in winter you could also dig down to create more usable floor space.
