Does DWR coating tend to give off an odor? I smell something off a tent's fly and waterproof/breathable rain jacket (non Gore-Tex). The odor is very disagreeable with me.

Yeah, why do old urethane coatings ( not the DWR ) break down and smell like cat pee? Is your tent old?
It's a 2008 Marmot Swallow. The inner tent doesn't give off any odors but the fly does.
