I'd like to see examples where various portions of a light tech garment have heterogeneous materials. We often see reinforced shoulders, etc. on already heavy gear. Why not waterproof shoulders on a windshirt? The forces are only a little more complicated than those leading to mesh backs on cycling vests.
Or how about compressible puffys with shoulders and backs of long-lasting fleece.
