The Effortless Rhythm isn't listed on the US distributor's site. What makes it more suited to snowshoeing than the Featherlite Freedom? Volume for bulky gear, external lash points to tie the snowshoes to, more durable fabric, or were the ER Pamelas more to your taste…? I'm looking for a winter pack and my shortlist was down to HMG Porter 3400, ULA Catalyst and CCW Chaos, then I saw this thread.

Just the volume (for me…)

I have the Circuit and love that too but I am addicted to using those pockets (apart from the balance bit…)
There I have all the bits that I use whilst walking, so say gloves/hat/goggles/GPS/Map/toilet kit (snow stake/paper and hand gel) munchies/water/water with salts/camera/rain jacket/gaiters ….
(not all the bits there all the time but they can take all of that)

David,

I've been using a myog balanced pack for over 10 years. Love it.

You can "feel" one by simply hanging a front bag filled with a few pounds of weight from the top corners of your pack….if it has a frame. The improved front-to-back balance can be felt right away.

I can post more info if this is of interest to you.

Daryl
