It wasn't the Alpinist, but the Arc Alpinist quilt. That has a 55" shoulder measurement, the same as my Arc Specialist. That is plenty room for me. I can fasten the neck snap, and toss and turn without the quilt turning with me. I find it very comfortable. If i get the Arc Alpinist, i may get an extra few inches to allow for the extra down clothing i would be wearing.

thanks, but I'll pass on Nunuatak since I made my own down quilts. But yes, they are very well crafted. I wasnt being objective to your affection of Valandre either… but stoking the fire so we users can see and hear more about their products through (what appears to be) lively interaction. Like I said, they are great bags in other words.
