I just finished up a fairly sizable trek with my Jam2. I tallied 77 miles on my GPS in under 72 hours. It was my first time using a Jam2 and I like the pack, but found that I ended up not using the sternum strap nor the hip belt. So I am thinking about hacking off the belt….but the shoulder strap actually goes in between the hip belt wing fabric. I'm wondering if anyone has actually removed the hipbelt from a Jam2 and has any hints.
