very cool! is that type 1443R? I look forward to hearing how it stands up to heavy rain and repeated use.

At first glance this shelter reminds me of the GG "The One", so I guess it could be called a "Ty One" (or Ty One On).

Very nice, I would be interested in seeing more pictures.

I believe you can significantly reduce the weight of the shelter by using the clothing grade of Tyvek rather than house wrap.

I tested Tyvek pants and jackets today and was quite surprised by the waterproofness. I don't think it would hold up forever but for a light rain, it's probably enough.

There are very good conversations on Tyvek here, but our language could improve. (My language is certainly lacking in this area.)

Johnk,
Are you suggesting type 14 (soft)?

Johannb,
Is your experience with type 16 (soft perforated)?

I am sorry, I don't recall the type. It was mentioned several times in the multiple discussions regarding the new Tyvek tent by Tarptent. This new tent which I have experience with uses a type of Tyvek that is very similar to that used in safety clothing but slightly heavier.

Probably type 16. I bought some industrial Tyvek jackets and pants. They have a perforated inner liner.

Unfortunately it is difficult to obtain many kinds of Tyvek in Japan.

In addition, it is ï½”Tyvek for material for agriculture.

There is the jacket, but is not available for material
