Patagonia Houdini

I do not know for sure but Patagonia will often quit listing what they consider summer apparel during the winter season. Be patient and you will likely see this item back in their lineup next spring.

I picked one up on ebay, and I think I saw others listed, too.

Once a year this will come up at about $75 on the Patagonia sale. You get about a 3hr window to pick one up, generally in black. You've missed that window by about five weeks or so.

There should still be a few XLs left at full retail, and about once a month a yellow one comes up on e-bay. These go for about $60-$90.

There really isn't much sale action on these, similar to the R1 Hoody, but Patagonia seems to have them in their Spring lineup each year. Keep looking, they're around, just not cheap.

+1 on Rod's comment. Very hard to find on sale. Your best bet is to wait until one of the big online retailers has them back in stock and then find a 10 or 15% coupon to give you a bit of a discount. I paid full price for mine in the end. The good news is that almost everyone seems to be delighted with their purchase, and it should last a long time. Obviously pretty good resale value too in case it doesn't live up to your expectations.
