I would be curious to know also.
Delayed a month or so.
Very funny.
Last week's Email news letter said in the "Next Week" section, "BackpackingLight's Merino UL Hoody hits the shop!"
Yep, it did. I'm guessing there was a manufacturing delay.

Where did you hear about the delay? If they announced that it would be a week away, it must have at least been ready to ship from the manufacturer.
I asked Ryan about it because I was looking to use it in place of my R1 hoody on our trip in week or so.

I was hoping to do the exact same thing for an upcoming trip. Oh well.
BPL support stated that it was a mistake it was included in the email. Looks like late oct for release.
To quote Ryan Jordan's Lightweight Backpacking & Camping (p.374),
