Just out of curiosity, I have been wondering about the old Moonstone sleeping bags and how they stacked up against modern bags. I have a few different ones–some I don't even know what model they are. I do have a Lucid that is in mint condition, but I will never use it and get the beauty dirty. I think it could be considered ultralight and high quality. Did they have any other models that were ultralight, and do you still use one?

unused gear? that's a shame. The beauty of a thing is found in it fulfilling the purpose of it's creation. Use it and it will become more beautiful!!

P.S.
No i wasn't smoking anything when i wrote that, nor am i a peace and love and brotherhood type of guy, but a beautiful bag that never sees use is wasted. Looking at a sleeping bag never kept me warm at night.
If I can ever find another one, I'll use the extra. This minty one is going to have an easy and clean life, for now. :-)
I have a Lucid and I love it. It like that they cut a few inches of the length, which made a long a perfect for for me. It probably has about 175 nights on it, so it's getting near the end of it's life. The loft isn't quite what is was before and the DWR isn't as good anymore. I can't complain. It was a very high quality bag for a low price.
I found it good to about 32 degrees with a light baselayer, but I am a very very cold sleeper.
There is a guy on Whiteblaze.net that has been looking to buy one for a while now. If you want to give the bag a second chance at life, I am sure he would appreciate a like new one.
The lucid is the white one right? I have that bag too and love it I would agree with the 32 degrees with a base layer. 10-20 is no big deal with a thicker base top and my thermawrap parka around my legs. I don't know much about the bag as I actually inherited it but I think its an 03 model or something it may be different now.
Why would you not use the bag? Its not like its a collectors item or anything.
Yes, it is the one with the Pertex X-Ray fabric. I'm glad to hear what the real world temp ratings are, I had always wondered. I have lots of different things I don't use. There are a lot of sportings goods collectors and hoarders n the world. If I was wealthy, I would have more junk than I would know what to do with. In fact, there are people who collect everything, even as strange as McDonald's Happy Meal toys. I'll still have my bag next week, but my portfolio is likely to be cut in half, or worse. :-)
