Thanks Frank. I have made a quilt before, and actually did a pretty good job, but I am looking for professional quality and frankly I just don't want to make another, I'd prefer to just pay for it.

I am familiar with the MLD quilts and they are what I'm looking for as far as materials, but I need a sewn footbox construction, instead of the snap/drawcord footbox which is on Ron's quilts. I have actually already put an email into him to see if he would customize, but I haven't gotten a response yet.

Check fanatic fringe…im not sure what the stats on their quilts are exactly but they are synthetic and have a closed footbox and are probably reasonably priced.

All true, except they do not offer the insulation thickness I'm looking for or the shell and liner fabric I want, which is Pertex Quantum or Momentum.

If anyone knows of a maker I'd be interested in having a 2-man winter quilt made. I have no sewing stuff and even less knowledge of how to sew stuff.

I am having Mountain Laurel Designs make mine, but mine will be close to their stock product, I don't know if they'll do what you're looking for. You could check with ron bell [mountainlaureldesigns@yahoo.com]. Also try posting your request in the MYOG forum, I know BPL members have made quilts for other members before.
