The plastic on bottom is to make the base. What is the purpose of the top piece of plastic?

Also, did you see Dondo's Fibraplex tripod? Less than 4 ounces!

I think that the top right picture shows its purpose : to keep the upright peg from falling sideways

事務用クリップ１個。６ｍｍビス、ナット、ワッシャなど。
垂直方向のペグの頭部を挟んで、ネジを使って締め付けます。
全体で、８８ｇです。
参考
今、使っている防水カメラは、オリンパスμ-７９５SW、１７４ｇです
余り傾けると、倒れる可能性がありそうです。
プリン2個は、ガムテープで固定してから使ってください。
