Somewhere I saw a bear bag that gives out a electronic pulse that keeps the bears away. Do any of you know of the product I am talking about? Have any of you used on?

Why they were denied for approval. It says "did not meet physical inspection," yet has proven to be effective against bears by other bear agencies. It seems a bit political with a hint of bias. I can't wait until a low weight alternative to your average bear canister comes along. I'm going to do a JMT hike next summer and don't really look forward to carrying a 2+ pound canister.
