    If I recall Alan used a heat proof pad and stabilisers on the gas canister. This allowed him to cook in the tent (2C) in bad weather with a degree of safety.

    You can also get some pretty light "cutting boards" that double as a canister stabiliser, such as the Snow Peak Solo Cutting Board.

    Or the MSR Trillium base. Then there's canister sytems for hanging your stove…..such as the MSR SuperFly Ascent Hanging System

    There are many ways to cook in your tent if you choose to!

    I haven't use a Warmlite tent.

    But…

    I have found that cutting the bottoms off of three soda cans makes a nearly weightless, snow-worthy stove base for three-legged stoves like the Windpro and Xtreme. :-)

    Now that is one I have not seen before! Cute!
    Need to watch out for downwards radiation from the stove though.

    Yep, works fine.
    I also use my bit of 3-ply as a snow scraper/mini-shovel and as a lunch plate … for biscuits. Multi-use :-)
