36 Dinner recipes – Vegetarian and not

Menus & meal planning
Sources and ingredients lists

NO dehydrator required.
All recipes take 15 minutes or less to prepare (except for a few make at home recipes)
ALL ingredients you can find in the regular grocery store.

I also have lots of freebie recipes on my site:

Title Quote from Dicentra… "One Pan Wonders – The book is now available!"

Body Quote from Dicentra "Some of you know that I have been writing a backcountry cook book. It is now available through Lulu."

This is still blatant advertising – link or no link.

Quote from Dicentra "I did make a note of appology before I posted."

An apology doesn't make it acceptable and it is a direct violation of the terms here.

Cool. Free recipes should attract people to your site who might then see an ad for your book. :-)

As some of you know, Dicentra and I are friends both online and in the real world :-) We met years ago on the BP.com forums and found out we lived nearby each other.

We both love cooking and hiking. After I started my website and wrote my book I would yammer at Di to do something with what she loved.

And for me I think it is so cool that she got it done after all these years!

We had a great trip section hiking on the PCT this past weekend (in the snow) talking food as usual – but mostly about her excitement ;-)

Sarbar didn't even slap my fingers when she saw that I used the term "Freezerbag Cooking" without the copyright symbol.

She took the cover photo of the book. I owe a lot to her. :)

Congratulations on getting your book published !

I think "no dehydrator required" could be a great selling point for people looking to throw together meals quickly.

Congratulations!

I wish there was a book on no-cook recipes that require 'no dehydrator' AND 'no oven'. I have neither. We use a microwave at home.

may be too much to ask for? :)

It is typically preferred not to start a new thread specifically devoted to advertising a product. Mention of a product or resource in reference to questions asked in threads is generally considered okay as long as you are respectful of others.

Thank you for your concern. We take great pride in keeping things civil around here.

Thank you Sam… that was my only real issue as I do understand Dicentra's excitement and do wish her the best with the new book.

Thanks you for posting you website- it will be helpful for me and the scouts I work with. Maybe next time have Sarah announce Dicentra's book. That way someone else is giving information about the book without having to plug you own material. There are many posts on this forum giving information about different useful things.

Yes, well, I guess this is advertising something on the wrong channel. It would have been 100% acceptable on the Gear Deals channel of course.

That said, I can see the high relevance of the posting on this channel. Since there has already been lots of interest in the subject I am going to be very laid-back about it and do … nothing.

Any further ads for this book (or anything else) should be on Gear Deals however, and this posting does not mean we have relaxed our rules. We cheerfully admit to being a bit inconsistent at times.

Mostly I posted here b/c this is where I hang out… I'm not in gear much. Plus (at least in my mind) it has more to do with food than gear.

Oh well. No worries. :)

Rules, schmules. Look for my order in your to do list!
Congrats on the release. It's disappointing to see the competition castigate rather than congratulate.
Best of luck.
Chris
