I have one, I like it quite a bit. It's bright enough for whatever you'd want to do at night. I'd say for night hiking it would be limited to on trail use. It feels pretty beefy so I'd say it's decently weather resistant. I switched to the princeton tec e+ headlamp to save some weight though, I'd recommend that as well.
