GG Nimbus Ozone question

You might be able to remove the sleeve. Yo can also trim the straps. My Nimbus Meridian did squeek but I never bothered to try and fix it. Pretty sure it happens where the suspension joints responsible for the movement are. Maybe lubing those would fix it.

My Nimbus Ozone does not squeek, but I have a friend who's does. I've always assumed it had something to do with the way he packed it.

I trimmed a bit of weight by trimming the straps, but use the bladder sleeve so I left it.

I haven,t had any sqeeks either. Some strap trimming and hyd. bladder removal is about all that you can do: it's a pretty spartan pack already.

The hip and shoulder connections are metal to metal so, I guess it could squeek. Maybe I sweat enough to keep things lubricated :-)

It's a great pack for big loads. I use it as my winter pack for my wife and me. We split the gear load 1/3 for her and 2/3 for me. (Maybe I could get a job as a sherpa)!

I got my Ozone down to about 2.75 pounds by removing the internal hydration sleeve and associated shock cord; excess webbing from the multitude of straps; and the small personal item hang bag inside the top.

One shoulder connection does squeak intermittenly on mine when fully loaded. Normally, I find that by adjusting the angle of the shoulder strap and cinching everything up tight, the squeak goes away. Never tried to lube it as it never bothered me too much.
