I noticed the new Snow Peak Titanium SHORT spork at my local outfitter the other day. Has anyone used this or the BPL short spoon? I don't know why I'm intrigued by the short spork but I am for some reason. I am currently using a lexan spoon. The weight savings of the short is neglible at .07 ounces I think than than longer one.
Short Spork

Well, it would be messy for reaching the bottom of the bag or pot. Besides, it's, like, a SPORK, ya know? That is, a device of illusory utility, seeming to offer some advantage but failing to do so in practice. The tines are too short to roll pasta or spear anything effectively, and eating soup with a spork is like using, well…a fork. IMHO

Light My Fire are the only ones not still living in the 70s

BTW, when I was a kid they were Splades. Went great with the brown and orange plates.

Cool in theory…but I bet it would feel really weird in the hand (especially if you have big hands!)

Myself? I usually use a GSI Piranha Foon – it is the only spork I have yet to find that is smooth, with a good bowl for the spoon part and doesn't have the weird extra long tines that many sporks have.

And at $2 is el cheapo ;-)
