Just received the details on three new Olympus compact cameras (UZ565-SW 1050and Stylus 1040) and noticed that they have kept the same sensor as their predecessors. The model number immediately suggest a minor revamp rather then a leap but it is interesting to note that for the moment the race has stopped at 10 mp , about 4 too many anyway…
Of course this could be just lack of founds for the R&D department.
