Anyone have experience with the Montbell Polkatex Sleeping Bag cover? I have an eVent bivy but want to look at a lighter option for when rain is not an issue or for use in a single wall tent/snow cave.

I like their 6.3oz "breeze tec dry" sleeping bag cover. I use it all alone on most trips. For just a ground sheet and occasional rain protection the AMR heatsheets bivy at 3.5oz works well too.

The Polkatex cover is more breathable than either of those. Was wondering about water resistence for rain spray and spindrift. This cover is 100% breathable,100% Nylon with
POLKATEX® DWR Treatment and $40.00.

The Montbell Breeze Dry-Tec fabric is almost as breathable as eVent. Why give up waterproofness just to save weight? Just use a groundsheet, or even better a Gossamer Gear Thinlight under the Montbell Breeze, for a lighter version of the eVent bivy. Give up durability instead =).
