I just used a golite ultraspeed backback for a week in the White Mountains and loved it. It developed a hole in the bottom of the back. Should I deal with golite to repair or can I have REI fix it and I'll pay for it. Bruce Gillers

Either. You could also DIY if you have some ripstop tape and some seam seal. I know GoLite likes to see how the packs wear so they can improve them, might be worth sending it to them. it is likely that REI will be sending it to the same repair service that GoLite uses if they don't do it in house.
I would fix it myself or send it into Golite. Last time I sent one in I had them send me some scraps for home repairs. The did not charge me for the patches.
