Has any one used one? I know that it is not as weight efficent as the narrowly cut ghost but think that for a trip around the world or otherwise it would be a more useful option and could double for two people. If you do have them then please let me know if the velcro becomes an issue getting caught on everything when not attached? What are your overall impressions.
I haven't used the Nunatak blanket, but I partly used it's design when making my own quilt. The velcro on my quilt can be annoying, but if I'm not using the velcro I now just cover the sticky loop pieces with a strip of mating velcro. this keeps it from getting tangled.
I think it would be a great quilt for general world travels.
You might also want to look carefully at the Jacks R Better Mt. Rogers Quilt. I will be using this quilt for five months in South America. See the reader reviews of it on this sight for a direct comparison to the BCB. In my experience, the Omni Tape that is used on the Mt Rogers does not present any problems.
