I hate sleeping on my back and usually sleep on my stomach. Was thinking of using a quilt on top of a blow up pad. Anyone tried this or have any suggestions? I tend to be a warm sleeper. Thanks

Many of us do this all the time.
I even do it in the snow.
I recently made the switch to a quilt after decades of using bags. I wish i had done it years ago. I'm a side/stomach sleeper and had read conflicting views on wether a quilt works for anything other than a back sleeper. The only way to know is to try it.
I'm using a Nunatak Arc Specialist with a Montbell UL 90 pad and pillow. I chose the Specialist because of its extra girth. I've been able to turn under the quilt without getting cold draughts. I've not used the straps yet, as i haven't felt cold enough to need the quilt cinched right in.
So it works for me up to now.
I'll try to use it into the winter using extra clothing and a warmer pad setup.
I find top bags are great for sleeping on your stomch, I can twist right around and I don't get caught or the bag doesn't get twisted and I stay comfortable and don't get woken up.
I've been using Big Agnes kit since it's been coming to the UK and it works well.
It might just be my imagination, but I feel warmer lying in my frtont.
PS Hello Mike
