I considering purchasing these to use as guyline tensioners for my tents and tarps.
They are actually fishing gear. Sort of a shock absorber to put in the line to keep the big ones from ripping the hook out of their mouth.
My question is, how much do they weigh?
Does anyone have any experience from either the backpacking or fishing perspective?Cabelas carries them.
Aug 15, 2008 at 5:10 pm #1447264i have been using them for about 3 years
they work fine…
not sure on the weight, but its close to .5 oz
Bass Pro also carries them, even in Phoenix (oh, yeah we have tons of Salmon..)
you can see them in this pic, on the hammock tarp cornersAug 15, 2008 at 5:26 pm #1447266Thanks Michael,
