Does anyone have any recommendations for a reasonably priced iPod charger?
I have been looking into cheap combination chargers that can charge a variety of electronic devices. eBay is littered with them. Apparently it has a build in battery, so you can charge it (in half the time) from the wall outlet at home. Then you get a recharge or two on the trail. After that, you strap the charger to your pack for 10 hours while it recharges the internal battery. Then while you are sleeping you can plug the unit into your iPod to charge it.
I'm even thinking about making my own, that way I can get some big panels with a long cord hooked up to the iPod in my backpack – no internal battery.
Whether premanufactured or DIY, it looks like i'm going to have to whip up some sort of protective pouch and backpack attachment. I remember seeing some sort of silnylon pouch for the device with an external panel on intructables.com
