ok,people. need help. just got back from a 45 mile 4day hike. i have a narrow foot so finding boots is difficult. i have a pair of llbeans which i've had for a few years. have never had a blister, they fit fine, enough toe room. so what's the problem? my toes kept hitting the end going down hills so now a have an extremely sore, red, might lose nail on big toe on one foot and a sore middle toe on other. i tried tightening up lasses on ankle but obliviously didn't help..can't afford new boots…..any suggestions????

Hi tori.
As you have had the boots for a while, maybe the leather has stretched over the years, effectively becoming bigger, and allowing your toes to hit the front of the boot?
Maybe fitting volume adjusters will stop your feet from sliding forward? I haven't tried them myself, but it might be worth a go.

Hi tori.
They are footbeds that fit under your existing footbeds. They don’t compress and are designed to take up excess room. Read this Scarpa boots article for more info. Scroll down for the volume adjuster section. :)
