I just finished making a small spin tarp with some spinnaker fabric I obtained form a local sail maker. The tarp is around 1.5 metres by 2.4 metres and weighs just under 200 grams with ALL tie-out lines etc. The tie-out loops are large enough to accommodate trekking pole handles.

Some of the stitching is a bit rough but I §consider this to be a prototype!!

Brief test in the rain last night and very waterproof without any of the ‘beading’ and stretching of sil-nylon. This morning I put it up with the back pegged down relaxed in the sun for while!!

Nigel,

Enjoy your new tarp! You should be proud of your stitching in the pics — ESPECIALLY for a prototype. Looks great.
