How do you pour hot, boiling water from that thing without burning you or others around?
I think you are supposed to grab it from the tabs and then pour. Looks better than many of the (popular) pots which lack handles. It does look fragile, though. Unfortunately, the square shape doesn't work well with some of the stoves (like the Caldera Cone).
It's clear from looking at the pictures that they are made from disposable roasting pans / over liners… i.e… crazy thin aluminum. I'll stick with my Trapper Mug + 3 gram Ti wire handle or Beer Can + 3 gram Ti wire handle. Also, I'm imagining what the corners of the z-pot would do to a spinnaker pack… and it's not good :-)
Yes, same here.
Another (to me) great item for backyard testing and a bit of fun, but I would not consider taking something like that on anything more than a day out. Obviously SUL also often means "temporary" but to relay on thick aluminum foil for something more than an emergency "pot" is just asking for trouble.
