I was wondering if anyone has tried to cut the lining out of their goretex shoes. I have a pair of old Salomon XA pro, and was wondering if anyone has ever tried this.

I imagine it could be done. But why? You could make an alcohol stove from beer cans and drink the beer while you're doing it. Less work and you don't even have to ruin a pair of shoes.
