Just got done reading about a gentleman from the San Diego area that lost his life hiking and climbing near the Bishop Pass area. It just reminded me how lucky I have been out there at times as well as to think with caution about traveling in the mountains. Life is precious.
What happened?
Apparently he was caught in a rock fall that swept him off his feet. News reports say his backpack was left several hundred feet above where his body was found. He may have been taking a break when the incident happened.
