I didn't see that this had already been posted, so I apologize in advance if this is old news.
Apparently Gossamer Gear is offering to replace and replace the shoulder strap pockets on their packs. There site posts the following message as of 7/14/08:
"Free Shoulder Strap Pocket modification offer.
– It has come to our attention that the velcro attachments on the elastic loops of the Shoulder Strap Pockets are not sufficient to hold the pockets in place for some people. We are offering to modify the Shoulder Strap Pockets for those people who have already purchased them at no charge. You must pay the shipping charges to return them to us but we will pay to return them to you. If the pockets work fine for you the way they are, no modification is necessary. We are modifying all of the ones we have in stock and they will be for sale again soon. The modification involves removing the velcro attachments and sewing the elastic loops to the side of the pocket."
