I use and really like my size large Montbell UL Thermawrap. I have narrowed my choice of a new shell jacket to the Montbell Peak Shell. Does anyone have experience using both of those? If so, any comment on whether the size large Thermawrap works well under a size large Peak Shell from a size/comfort standpoint?
If you are willing to wait and desperate to know I could run to Montbell here in Boulder and try them both on and give you an opinion.
It probably would be most beneficial if we were similar in size. Let me know.
The MontBell Peak Shell is sized for layering.
I own both a Peak Shell and a Thermawrap — both in size Medium. Wearing a baselayer, the three pieces layer together very well. I believe it's safe to assume that a similar three-layer setup in a consitent size L will also work together well.
